A Pirate's Life For Me

I signed Bly up to do the Pirate's League this year and he was so excited. His day wasn't until the end of the week and that was all he could talk about while we were there. When the big day finally came, I sent him off with Daddy and Poppy, while I took Azzi and Nanny on some rides. Tim called to say they were done and that I had to come see. When I came in I honestly did not recognize him.

We walked around the Magic Kingdom and had lunch and did rides for the rest of the afternoon. During this time, Bly insisted in talking in pirate voice and really strutted around the park. He loved the attention. We had at least five different people want to take his photo. He was also picked to do the Captain Jack show and the Monsters Inc show. This really was his big day of the trip.

Princess Pea

As the group travel agent, I decided that Azley was old enough this year to do a girly event and dang-it Mom was too, so I booked everyone for a dinner with the princesses. We had of course never done anything like this and did not know what to expect. What I did know was that every little girl that I saw had a dress for the occasion so Azzi got into the act. As she is a lover of all that is girly and dressing up she was game for the fun.

At the dinner she was mesmerized by each princess that stopped by the table, so most of our pictures of are her staring them down instead of the pose for the camera. At the end of dinner, there is a march around the room with the princesses and anyone that wants to join. As we had done a few dinners already, Azzi knew the drill and was out of her seat ready to go. She did have to take her blanket for a friend but she did her thing. She could not have been any more cuter.

We have a great professional picture of this with them looking straight on. Do notice that she is clutching that autograph book though!!!

The royal march.

I do have to mention the quote of the night from Bly. He was sitting next to me, scoping out the situation and asks, "Mom, where is Mickey?".
"There are just princesses here. You can meet them if you want."
"No thanks. I am justing going to sit in the corner and watch The Incredibles."

Spoken like a true older brother.

The Johnsons Take Disney 2011

This year we took the kids down to Disney for a week of fun and sun. We also had an assortment of grandparents and an aunt that made the trip as well. It takes a village for this family to work and we needed all hands on deck to help with the kids (and I am looking at Azley when I say this). Everyone had a great time and we were able to see a lot of things while we were there. Bly definitely had his own opinions this year about what he wanted to do (rides) and what he did not (meet princesses). Azley on the other hand loved the characters and was especially fascinated with them signed her autograph book. She loved the rides as well and took to waving at any item that came along in during the adventure.

Bly was so impressed with the Mickey shaped waffles that he saved one to show Mickey and give him as a present.

Of course we had to meet Buzz!

And then two pictures that I had to add because I just loved them:
