Yep, that is what he is doing. Boys, gotta love them.

Big trains and whisltes

Labor Day weekend is the big weekend for Bly's mecca, which is the Hesston Steam Museum. This weekend they bring all the trains out along with other steam equipment and just whistle away. Both the kids love to ride the trains and see everything going on. While we were there we rode:

the small ones

the big ones

and the boys rode the medium one. Azzi was asleep for this ride (how she slept through the noise is a miracle).

We spent some time like this until we found some ear plugs.

Down by the station, early in the morning, see the little puffer bellies all in a row!

The Big Ride

I had wanted to take the kids to see the carousel at St. Joe all summer. My Mom and I finally took them up one day to do the museum and the ride. Azzi loved the carousel but Bly was not as excited. We finally saw a sign that said they had earphones. Once he put on a set, he was a riding fool. Here is the picture we took for Daddy.

Summer Chicago Trip

I needed to do a little catch up for summer happenings because the pictures were stuck on my camera. The next few days will get us all caught up to our summer adventures.

We try to take the kids in for a weekend to Chicago every summer and this year was no exception. Overall they had a great time and we had perfect weather to walk around.

The kids saw the carriages while we were eating dinner so we caught one that night.

We let them play in the fountains at Millennium Park. Bly was a little scared of the faces this year but Azzi had no issues going in.

On the carriage ride Bly saw the ferris wheel at Navy Pier and wanted to go there. We did all the rides but he still came back to his favorite one there. All aboard!!

First Day of School

This fall marks Bly's first day of preschool. He has been ready for this day all summer and when people asked if he was ready to go, his prepared answer was "They're not open yet". When the day finally came that they were open, he was bouncing he was so excited. I hope this lasts for a couple of years at least when school starts.

The posed shot for the first day with his backpack in his favorite color.
