Swimmin'

Tim and I decided to take the kids swimming at a hotel to make up for missing out on the Disney trip. We found a hotel with an indoor water-park and spent the night. The kids had a pretty good time and it was a good break during these cold winter months.

This is Azley's first time in a bathing suit. Of course she has the ever-present bink to complete the outfit.

Playing pirate.

The boys decided their favorite spot was in the hot tub.

Azzi grew tired of swimming so she chose to chill pool side.

Mickey's Castle Trip

We took the kids to Disney (or Mickey's Castle as Bly named the Magic Kingdom) at the beginning of the month. We were so excited to get to the warm weather and have a relaxing week with the kids. Needless to say, we had a good time but the weather was neither warm or relaxing. Most days the highs were in the 40's with the one warm day reaching 59. We did have a great time and the kids loved spending a whole week together with no work or other commitments getting in the way.

Bly is in a big Toy Story phase right now so this was a highlight for him.

Azley dressed up like Minnie for her first meeting with Mickey, Minnie and the gang.

The night we stayed for fireworks.

One of my favorites of the crew at a 3D movie attraction.

The Big Day

Christmas morning is always just us in the morning opening gifts from Santa and from Mom and Dad.

Opening morning gifts

Bly loved his Woody and Buzz!

The afternoon brought Papa and Mia along with Nanny and Poppy, Aunt Jill and cousins Jordyn and Alex. The kids really enjoyed spending that time with so much family.

The last event for the night was up at Aunt Kimmie & Uncle Mike's. Here Bly likes to show off his moves on the drums with Rock Band. He also is lead back-up dancer for the group as well.

Christmas Eve

This year we spent Christmas Eve at my mom's house with a short break for mass. The kids had a great time of which I only have pictures for half because my camera died. Thankfully my sister loves to take pictures so at least I know we have documentation of the event.

This was Azzi's first big gift opening venture but it didn't take her long to realize the goal. Of course her favorite presents included tissue paper as an added bonus present.

My mom made her a blanket which quickly became her favorite gift of the night. We have a great series of pictures of her opening the bag, looking at the blanket and then also of her asleep with her blanket. Here is one of my favorites:

Bly was definitely into opening presents this year and knew exactly what he was supposed to do. His big gift was an air hockey table but this was later in the night so no pictures for me. He did get plenty of Thomas items to add to his collection.

The kids had a great time with opening gifts, playing with Aunt Ca-Ca and eating Chinese food which has become a steadfast tradition on this night. From here we went home to prepare for the "Big Man's" arrival....

Back again

It seems like the holidays and the the beginning of January went by in a flash. We have been so busy and out of town hence the lack of post. I do plan on making up for the lost time here shortly. During this time Azzi is now 6 months and Bly seems to be learning a new phrase each day. We are having a blast so far this year and look forward to new things to come!
