Santa!!

Tim and I figured that we finally needed to take the kids to see Santa. As much as I was looking forward to Azzi seeing Santa for the first time, I was in as much dread to see what Bly would do. In the past, he has not done well with any mythical creatures so I had little expectations to any events occurring this holiday season. We went to see old St. Nick at the Notre Dame Bookstore (which ended up being fabulous to any parents out there). To my surprise both kids sat on the old man's lap at the same time and we got some great pictures. Bly was easily bribed with a candy cane from the man in red and Azley just kept starring at him. She had this look of who are you and why did my mom so readily hand me over to you crazy man. At least we have some great pictures to prove our success.

One with Azley looking at the camera..

..and one with Bly.

You didn't think we would be lucky enough to get both looking now did you?

Our naps these days

As you can see from the pictures, Bly does a lot of things during his nap time other than sleeping. I thought that I had put these stickers up but I guess I was wrong.

Starting her young

Azzi has taken an interest in her new purse. This could be a problem when she gets older.

First Snow of the Year!

This morning was the first snow to actually cover some of the ground. I dressed Bly up in his snow gear and headed outside for a little play time this morning. He was so excited about playing in the snow but not so much about getting dressed to go out there. We made it and have the pictures to prove it.

Papa will need to put snow tires on the mower along with his tractor!

This is Rock's first time playing out in the snow ever. He loved to run but also thought it was a treat to eat it!

Azzi took a nap inside but was happier for it when she woke up. Here she is sporting her new Christmas shirt and mugging for the camera.

Azzi's New Pictures

We had some pictures taken of our baby girl the other day. Here are a few of my favorites.

I also had a funny moment with my son this morning to share. He was eating his breakfast and wanted more milk. Well, momma's not been feeling well so we were out. I asked him if he wanted some orange juice instead which he has had before plenty of times. He thought about it for a minute then says "Momma, I want banana juice". While this makes perfect sense because his favorite fruit is bananas, I had to try and explain that we didn't have any banana juice in the house. Kids are just too cute sometimes.

Last Week's Happenings

This was a busy week for the Johnson clan. It started with Azley's baptism on Sunday at St. Joseph Church. She was a perfect doll for the ceremony and the lunch afterwards. It was a great day to spend together as family and friends and we want to thank Mandy and Adam for making it a very special day for Azzi.  Here are a few pictures of the big day.

Azley with her Godparents Mandy Kinnucan and Adam Krugman

On Tuesday we had to make an emergency run up to my sister's school because she forgot a camera for the big 1st Grade Thanksgiving Day Feast. Bly loves to go visit Ca-Ca's room and welcomed himself to the pumpkin pie as well.

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays and was extra special this year because it was Azley's first. Maybe I talked it up a little too much for her though because she got up at 3am ready to party. She went back down at 5am for an hour but then that was it except for 20 minute naps through out the day. Needless to say she was a mess by the end of the day. The family had a great time and my turkey turned out great (just a little slow to get there). Because of Azley's mood we didn't get the great family shot for the day but I did get this one of Bly rearranging the silverware on the table.

Hope that everyone had a fantastic weekend and a great start to the holiday season!

A Few of My Favorite Fall Pics

I wanted to add a few of my favorite pictures from this fall. My have we been busy!

I love to chew on my dolly!

Getting ready to go for a walk. Mom is really concerned about the cold weather for my summer baby.

Halloween! Yes, I dressed up as a safari person because both kids were animals. I did not walk with either one so I think it just looked silly. Thought that counts I guess.

Hanging out at the gym.

And finally, what would a collection of kids pictures be without the always popular bath shot!

The New Blog

I have finally started to wade in the world of blogging. I guess this is kind of like my facebook life, better late than never. I hope this is a great way for family and friends to look into our crazy life and newest happenings. Of course this has been a busy fall for us with Azzi getting settled into her new role of baby sister. She is just a little doll and everyday I am amazed with having her in my life. I also feel that someday she will be a great ally in my life which has so far been surrounded by men. Bly is still my little man and is very busy these days with all things trains and now dinosaurs. I am very excited about the holidays this year with him because I think he will finally "get it" and all my decorating and orchestrating will not fall on deaf ears. Tim and I are plugging along but lets all be honest, you are not really reading this to get the scoop on us.

I hope that everyone enjoys the blog and comes back often to visit. I promise to try my best to keep it updated and interesting to the best of my ability.

Love,
Corissa
