The BCYF!

Those of you in the know will recognize this as the Berrien County Youth Fair which is the county fair that I have been going to since I was small. I took the kids along with Mia and Papa to the fair. The biggest excitement of the day came from Azley and her full face plant on the cement about 15 minutes in. This was her first big walking accident but it didn't slow her down. Bly was all about the rides and of course the food. Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the day.

Riding and still posing for the picture. That's my boy!

Big brother making sure Azzi didn't fly off the whale. Too cute!

This was Bly's method for keeping the powdered sugar off of his shirt. "A" for effort!

His favorite ride.

This picture does not fully show her scraped forehead and nose but it does show the wand that Mom bought for her crash victim.

The Phrase of the Day

A Trip to the Beach

We took the kids to Silver Beach and had a great morning. Azzi was so excited to see the water that she started shaking and we had to have a big conversation with Bly about the differences between a lake and an ocean. By the end of the day I am not sure I said much to change his mind.

A Summer Tradition

What is more summer than a popsicle. Here are a few shots of popsicle moments around our house this year.

I can do it by myself Mom!

The Camping Trip

Over the 4th of July we went for an old-fashion family camping trip with my Dad and stepmom. This was the first time that the kids had ever been camping and also the first time that Tim and I ever went camping together. Needless to say, there were bets placed as to if we could make the whole weekend but we did and the kids had a great time.

The kids had fun playing at the little beach.

Bly's big catch.

A close-up with the fish.

The kids with Papa and Mina and Bear.

On the way back, I wanted to stop by the Dutch Village in Holland. I know that it is a little cheesy but I remember going when I was little so I felt my kids needed to go to. The main reason was to recreate a picture that me and my sister had taken a long time ago.

While not exact, pretty close!

Of course they had to try on the shoes!
