Happy First Birthday!!!

I cannot believe that my baby has turned one. While the time flew, it also seems like she has been a part of this family forever. In one short year Azley's little personality has blossomed and what a personality it is. I didn't realize that such a girly-girl attitude could already exist but she is living proof that it does. She is also a very determined child and watching her pout that lip is priceless. I can't imagine my life with out her in it, so rightly so, we had to throw a bash for the big day.

We had a luau theme and invited the family for food and festivities. Azley had a great time being the star and being with her family. She was timid about her cake at first but eventually dived in.

This was her morning present from Mom and Dad. We have now named it the 'throne'.

Getting warmed up with the cake.

An after shot of the cake.

Wardrobe change #2. She loved her tutu.

After everyone left, the kids took a nap and rested up from the afternoon. The weather was beautiful and Tim and I wanted to do something with the kids so we decided to go to New Buffalo for dinner. Of course we went to Redamak's and then Oinks for dessert. Here is the proof:

The birthday girl deciding what to order. She is also still wearing her tutu.

Eating ice cream and loving not having to sit in a high chair but in an actual big girl chair. Note Tim sitting in the small kiddie chair because it was the only table available.

T-ball

Bly started the 3-5 yr old t-ball league this summer. It could possibly be the funniest event I have ever witnessed in my life. The kids of course herd around the ball even though the coaches throw several balls out so everyone gets a ball but the best moves have to come from the batters and base runners (my son included). When the batter hits the ball they almost always run after the ball instead of the base. This brings the base runners in as well to scramble for a ball. It will be neat to see how far they come at the end of the season. Bly loves it and is so excited to be out there playing.

This was at practice. I think he looks so big here!

Action shot.

First game. He is on the Green Tigers team.

It gets hard to tell them apart but he is in the front.

The diva

I wanted to do an update on my little pea Azley. She is really starting to grow into her personality and what a personality it is. She loves all accessories to include shoes, jewelry, purses and now sunglasses. She has a laugh that comes out right when she is about to do something she is not supposed to and the hair is just a work in progress. Here are a few of my favorite recent shots of my princess.

Pool time!

The kids love to spend time out at any pool or water source such as the sprinkler or slip n' slide (still trying to get that grass to come back green!). Here are a couple pictures of my water worms with our sitter McKenzie.

Strawberries

Bly had been obsessed with picking strawberries this year so the little man and I headed out to see what we could find. My organic farm ended up not being the best but Bly got to pick so he was happy. He of course ate as many as we picked and when we went up to pay he informed them that all the strawberries were in his belly. We had a great day together and some good strawberries to show for it.

Cruising

I think this a glimpse into the future in about 13 years when these two are riding around together in a car. Bly will only go if Azzi is in the car next to him. Her main job is to man the radio which they both like to jam to while driving. The only issue is when she likes to throw the truck into reverse!

Back on the wagon again!

I know that it has been about a month since my last post but it has been a busy time. Most notably was our 10 year anniversary trip to Hawaii. We had a great time and were able to do and see so many amazing things while we were there. Because I took so many pictures, I fried my memory card and couldn't get my pictures off the camera, so hence no posts until that little problem was fixed. Here are just a few shots of our trip. The next posts will get back to the kids because I know that is why most of you are reading this right now. :)

A waterfall hike that our driver Mr. Chow convinced us to do. In the end, he was a smart man.

Pictures like these are why you go to Hawaii. This was from our dinner table.
